The African continent experienced a 20% increase in cyberattacks in 2023, with public sector systems among the top targets, reports Interpol.
For the month of October, Cybastion will observe #CybersecurityAwarenessMonth. Each week, we’ll spotlight the importance of building secure, inclusive, and innovation-driven digital economies and show how cybersecurity underpins every component of our Digital Fast Track (DFT) program, an accelerated roadmap advancing Africa’s digital sovereignty.
Throughout October, Cybastion will draw attention to how cybersecurity is integrated into all four components of the DFT:

* Infrastructure: Sovereign data centers and subsea cables with built-in security to protect critical digital assets and information.
* Workforce Training: Initiatives like Africa DigiEmpower, launched in partnership with Cisco and African governments, are training youth and women in cybersecurity and digital skills for a strong digital workforce.
