Cybastion hosted an evening reception and dinner on May 13, to celebrate U.S.-Africa commercial engagement and welcome delegates from American Chambers of Commerce (AmCham) from across West Africa. The evening celebration was on the eve of the AmCham Business Summit, hosted by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s U.S.-Africa Business Center and AmCham Cote d’Ivoire, in Abidjan.

High-level leaders from the U.S. and African public and private sectors gathered to celebrate our shared commitment to strengthening U.S.-Africa commercial ties.

Dr. Thierry Wandji, Cybastion CEO offered opening remarks and joined Kendra Gaither, President of the U.S.-Africa Business Center, in recognizing the strong presence of AmCham leaders from Cote d’Ivoire, Ghana, Senegal, Nigeria, Guinea (Conakry), Mali, and Cameroon.

Top U.S. officials Ambassador Jessica Davis Ba, U.S. Ambassador to Cote d’Ivoire and Ambassador Troy Fitrell, Senior Bureau Official spoke about the United States’ approach to expanding business and investment and closing deals in Africa.

The Ivorian cabinet ministers in attendance offers brief remarks, including H.E. Siandou Fofana, Minister of Tourism and Leisure; H.E. Nasseneba Touré, Minister of Women, Family and Children; H.E. Sidi Tiémoko Touré, Minister of Youth Promotion, Youth Employment and Civic Service. H.E. Emmanuel Armah Buah, Minister of Lands and Natural Resource of Ghana also attended the event.

Cybastion’s leadership team, along with our partners and guests, participated in networking opportunities and enjoyed the evening’s cultural celebration.
