Burkina Faso and neighboring countries in the Sahel region are facing significant security challenges due to a surge in terrorist activity and organized crime networks operating in the region.

Cybastion and a consortium of U.S. tech partners are participating in the 2nd SYSDEF (Synergie, Sureté, Défense et Sécurité) international trade show on defense, security, and civil protection, from May 8-10 in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso.

The Cybastion team and U.S. tech partners will connect with key decision-makers and leaders in the defense industry to put forth actionable technological solutions on enhancing border security in the region.

The Cybastion team welcomed distinguished guests to its vibrant exhibition booth, including an American delegation. U.S. ambassador to Burkina Faso, H.E. Ambassador Joann M. Lockard and the embassy’s economic and commercial attaché and senior military officers stopped by the booth.

During the 3-day event, Cybastion and partners will engage in panel discussions on leveraging technology to respond to security threats, strengthen local capacity, and build community resilience.
