U.S. Department of State’s U.S. Assistant Secretary for African Affairs Frank R. Garcia announced a series of strategic U.S. commercial agreements across the digital, healthcare, education, and logistics sectors at a press conference at the U.S. Embassy in Abidjan.

Assistant Secretary Garcia announced that the Export-Import Bank of the United States has approved new financing guarantee for Cybastion to deploy a smart border surveillance system in Côte d’Ivoire. The approval brings EXIM’s total financing guarantees for Cybastion digital transformation projects in the country to $170 million, including support for a sovereign national data center and the digitalization of government services.

Cybastion CEO Dr. Thierry Wandji Ketchiozo joined Ivorian and U.S. leaders at the press event, including Côte d’Ivoire’s Minister Djibril Ouattara of Ministry of Digital Transition and Technological Innovation, U.S. Chargé d’Affaires Junaid Munir, and leaders from major U.S. companies including STARLINK, ABD Group, and NTELX.

During the event, Starlink representative Hanna Wetters announced that Starlink is now operational in Côte d’Ivoire, marking an important step forward in expanding digital connectivity across the country.

Through its Digital Fast Track platform, Cybastion integrates digital infrastructure, cybersecurity, digital solutions, and workforce development to help governments build secure, resilient, and sovereign digital ecosystems.
