As part of Burkina Faso’s broader efforts to digitize public administration and strengthen digital security, government IT personnel participated in a three-day technical training on implementing key components of the electronic signatures platform.
The technical workshop, held April 28 – 30 in the city of Loumbila, was organized with technical support from Cybastion, which is leading the electronic signature’s implementation through Burkina Faso’s Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) system. Workshop sessions focused on strengthening local capacity and ensuring knowledge transfer following the digital platform installation.
Electronic signatures, a key feature of the PKI system, advances the the country’s digital transformation agenda to improve the transparency, security, and efficiency of government e-services.
Some 30 participants attended the workshop, including representatives from the National Agency for the Security of Information Systems (ANSSI), the PACYR cybersecurity support program, and Cybastion’s technical experts. The sessions are aimed at building local capacity and ensuring knowledge transfer following the installation of Burkina Faso’s electronic signature platform.
The new infrastructure is part of the government’s strategy to modernize administrative procedures and enhance the resilience of national digital systems.
