Tourism offers a tremendous opportunity for African countries to boost job creation, diversify their economies, and drive sustainable growth. Cybastion’s Tourism team  outlined an action plan to Côte d’Ivoire’s Ministry of Tourism and Leisure to accelerate development of a national eTourism platform to promote the country’s tourism sector, strengthen governance and boost sector revenue.

The action plan was presented in mid-April to H.E. Siandou Fofana, Ivorian Minister of Tourism and Leisure, and senior ministry officials and technical directors. Aligned with the national tourism brand, “Sublime Côte d’Ivoire,” the eTourism platform aims to position the country as a leading tourist destination and enhance its global competitiveness.

The eTourism platform will enable users to easily plan, book online, and manage travel to destinations across Côte d’Ivoire, with integrated booking and payment services, as well as tools for visitors to review and rate tourism experiences.

Under the leadership of Fatoumata Komah, Cybastion’s Executive Director of Tourism, the Cybastion team laid out the next phase of the platform’s implementation to ministry officials.

The eTourism platform, which is expected to be live this year, is deployed under the “Digital Solutions” pillar of Cybastion’s Digital Fast Track, an accelerated roadmap to Africa’s digital sovereignty.
