The American Tech Hub is an immersive and interactive exhibition space designed to engage the public around the pillars of Cybastion’s Digital Fast Track — digital solutions, cybersecurity, infrastructure solutions, and education and training.
U.S. Ambassador Joann M. Lockard, Ambassador to Burkina Faso, joined Cybastion and U.S. partners on a guided tour of each zone of the American Tech Hub.
U.S. and local partners include Paul Mongane, Entrust; Boutaleb Joutei Faouz, Uptime Institute; Tarik Bahanniss, Uptime Institute; Hamza Atti, Vertiv, Charles Mugisha, Smarteo; and local partner Gilles Kounou, Open SI.
Cybastion leadership Andre Biyong, Chief Operating Officer and Armand Tchokokam, Executive Vice President and Global Chief Financial Officer, met with reporters for a high-level press briefing on key progress updates on the company’s major digital transformation projects that advance the Burkinabe government’s bold vision for digital sovereignty. Ibrahim Younoussi serves as the Managing Director for Cybastion’s Burkina Faso Office.
Starting November 19, the Africa DigiEmpower training program, a partnership between Cybastion, Cisco and the Government of Burkina Faso, will equip Burkinabè youth and women with advanced digital skills and build a digital workforce, which will conclude with a certification ceremony on Friday.
Held from November 18 to 21, Digital Week convenes African and global leaders from the tech, public, academic, and finance sectors under the theme “AI at the heart of digital transformation”.
