Site selection is underway for the construction of the first technology hubs designed to equip Ivorian women farmers with digital tools and training in agricultural processing to scale their agribusinesses.
Led by the Ivorian Ministry of Women, Family and Children in partnership with the Ministry of Digital Transition and Digitalization, the project will establish technology hubs to introduce women farmers to innovative technologies and agricultural processing to bolster productivity and accelerate the growth of women entrepreneurs.
Cybastion is the lead partner in establishing the technology hubs, where women producers will access training, mentoring and digital tools to help grow their businesses and connect to broader supply chains.
Modern agricultural processing centers will be established across 15 localities in nine districts to transform raw staple crops into value-added products. Each center will include laboratories, processing workshops, training rooms and exhibition spaces designed to fuel local economic growth.
To support participation of women farmers, childcare services will be integrated into the design of each center.
Stay tuned for more progress updates on the tech hubs across the country.
