As cyber risks increasingly grow across Africa, the Cyber Africa Forum (CAF), held in Cotonou, Benin from June 24-25, put forth bold approaches to reimagining digital sovereignty, infrastructure security, and public-private collaboration.
Under the theme “Resilience of Digital Ecosystems: The Need for a Paradigm Shift,” the forum explored strategies for building resilient, inclusive, and sustainable digital ecosystems across Africa.
Mohamed Dembele, Cybastion Managing Partner for the Cybersecurity Business Unit, led the delegation from Cybastion, in partnership with the Benin Country Office. Cybastion team participated in panel discussions and hosted a booth and networking space in the exhibition area.
Mr. Dembele participated in a panel discussion on the potential of SmartCities to drive Africa’s digital transformation where he highlighted how Cybastion is constructing a replicable Digital Administrative City model in Côte d’Ivoire. Anchored by a state-of-the-art data center, the Digital City will leverage advanced technology to enhance government services and empower citizens with greater access to digital tools, improved connectivity, and entrepreneurial opportunities. The Digital City will also boost digital workforce development through targeted training programs that give young people the digital skills to support Africa’s growing digital economy.
