Mauritania’s digital transformation vision aims to build a more inclusive, sustainable and competitive digital economy.
A Cybastion delegation met on January 12 with H.E. Ahmed Salem Badh, Mauritania’s Minister for Digital Transformation and Management, to explore a potential partnership focused on promoting cybersecurity and protecting sensitive digital infrastructure.
The Cybastion delegation included Scott Blacklin, Senior Vice President, Government Affairs and Mohamed Dembele, Managing Partner, Cybersecurity Business Unit. Chargée d’Affaires a.i. Corina R. Sanders, from the U.S. Embassy in Mauritania accompanied the delegation.
Cybastion’s cybersecurity solutions to advance digital resilience were highlighted during the high-level meeting, including the creation of a national Computer Security Incident Response Team (CSIRT) and a Computer Security Operations Center (SOC).
SVP Blacklin remarked about how Mauritania has already made significant strides in digital transformation and noted that Cybastion looks forward to learning more about opportunities to strengthen the country’s cybersecurity capabilities.
