Government agencies face growing challenges in monitoring road networks, enforcing traffic regulations, and responding quickly to road incidents.

The lack of coordination among transport agencies, law enforcement and emergency services further compounds the challenge. Without integrated systems for traffic monitoring, incident detection and interagency communication, accident response times are slower, enforcement is often inconsistent, and policy decisions are made without comprehensive traffic data.

Our Solution and Impact

Cybastion partnered with Benin's transport agencies to design and deploy SECUROUTE, a smart traffic management platform that integrates advanced radar systems, camera networks, and data analytics to provide comprehensive traffic monitoring and road safety capabilities. The platform enables real-time monitoring of traffic flows across key road networks, automatic detection of speed violations and other infractions, and rapid alerting for accidents and road hazards.

SECUROUTE also provides a coordination layer that connects transport agencies, law enforcement, and emergency services through a shared operational dashboard. This inter-agency integration enables faster response times, more consistent enforcement, and better-informed policy decisions based on comprehensive traffic data. The platform's analytics capabilities allow authorities to identify accident hotspots, evaluate the effectiveness of safety interventions, and allocate resources where they will have the greatest impact.

Benin is now advancing efforts to create safer roads and more efficient transportation networks for its citizens and modernizing road management systems.
