Gilbert Ngono Onguene

Gilbert Ngono Onguene is the Managing Director of Infrastructure at Cybastion. In this leadership position, he leads the design, construction, and operation of sovereign data centers and network infrastructure across Africa.

A technology executive and senior engineer, Gilbert brings over 30 years of experience in driving Africa's digital sovereignty through large-scale telecommunications transformation.

Prior to joining Cybastion, he held senior leadership roles at MTN and Camtel, where he directed the development and expansion of fixed and mobile network operators and oversaw the deployment of satellite communications networks, subsea cables, national fiber backbones and Tier III data centers. He holds a degree from the University of Ottawa in Canada and completed the Global Advancement Program at the Gordon Institute of Business Science (GIBS) in South Africa.
