Registration is now open for the first cohort of the DigiEmpower Workforce Training Program (DigiEmpower), a free digital workforce training initiative launched by U.S. tech companies Cybastion and Cisco, in collaboration with the Government of Côte d’Ivoire.
Officially launched in December 2024, DigiEmpower is an ambitious program designed to train 200,000 young people and women across 10 regions of Côte d’Ivoire by 2030, equipping them with critical digital skills for the modern workforce.
The first cohort, in partnership with the Ivorian Ministry of Women, Family, and Children, will operate from February 17 to March 18, 2025. Online courses in cybersecurity and computer hardware basics, offered through the Cisco Networking Academy, will be available for an initial cohort of 3,000 participants. Additional online and in-person training sessions across the country will begin in March 2025.
The “Introduction to Cybersecurity” course will cover fundamental security principles to protect digital assets. The “Computer Hardware Basics” course will provide essential knowledge on computer systems, mobile devices, and troubleshooting techniques.
Participants who complete the training will receive Cisco-verified digital badges, which can be added to their LinkedIn profiles and CVs to enhance employability in the government and private sectors.
