Abidjan, December 17, 2024 –Cisco, the worldwide leader in networking and security technologies, concluded a two-day visit to Côte d’Ivoire, in collaboration with Cybastion.

During the visit, Cisco and Cybastion announced theDigiEmpower Workforce Training Program, an ambitious digital workforce initiative in collaboration with the Government of Côte d’Ivoire. The visit signing included of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Cisco and the Minister Digitization, Minister of Women, Family and Children as well as the Minister for the Promotion of Youth, Professional Integration, and Civic Service.

Cybastion and Cisco executives held an engaging meeting with H.E. Tiémoko Meyliet Kone, Vice-President of the Government of Côte d'Ivoire, on equipping youth and women with world-class digital and cybersecurity skills to drive innovation, resilience, and growth across the country.

Hosted at the Cybastion Tech Academy, a high-level roundtable discussion with top leaders from the private sector, government, academia, and influencers focused on actionable solutions for building a robust digital workforce and fostering collaborative efforts to advance theDigiEmpower Workforce Training Program.

U.S. Ambassador Jessica Davis Ba, Ambassador to the Republic of Côte d'Ivoire, hosted a luncheon attended by representatives from the U.S. and Ivorian private sector, government, and academia, that highlighted how the United States can support in advancing the country's digital economy.

The visit concluded with a regional dialogue with Ministers of Women, Families and Children from Côte d’Ivoire, Liberia, Sierra Leone and Guinea to discuss shared strategies for digital skills and empowerment for strengthening the regional digital ecosystem.

During this visit, Cisco and Cybastion announced theDigiEmpower Workforce training program, an ambitious initiative in favor of the development of digital skills in collaboration with the Government of Côte d’Ivoire. The visit was marked by the signing of aMemorandum of Understanding (MoU)between Cisco and the Ministries in charge of Digitalization, Women, Family and Children, as well as the Ministry of Youth Promotion, Professional Integration and Civic Service.

Cybastion and Cisco executives had a constructive meeting with H.E.
