WHAT:
U.S. tech company Cybastion and the Government of Gabon will sign a strategic investment agreement to advance digital transformation in Gabon. This strategic agreement will accelerate Gabon’s digital transformation, strengthen cybersecurity, and equip its workforce with world-class digital skills, in partnership with U.S. tech company Cisco. The agreement positions Gabon as a regional tech leader and demonstrates growing U.S. private sector investment in the country.
The agreement will be signed by signed by Dr. Thierry Wandji, CEO of Cybastion and Brigadier General Bonjean Rodrigue Mbanza, Gabon’s Transitional Minister of the Digital Economy and New Information Technologies.
The agreement builds on a memorandum of understanding signed in early October during the U.S.-Gabon investment roundtable, hosted by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s U.S.-Africa Business Center.
