“We are open for business and serious about doing business the right way,” said H.E. Félix-Antoine Tshisekedi Tshilombo, President of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC).
Today, Cybastion CEO Dr. Thierry Wandji and senior leaders joined U.S. and Congolese business leaders and government officials at a high-level U.S.–DRC Presidential Business Roundtable, at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s U.S.-Africa Business Center in Washington, D.C. Cybastion was a sponsor of the event.
The roundtable coincided with President Tshisekedi’s official visit to Washington and aimed to build momentum around the Washington Accords for Peace and Prosperity to drive greater U.S. investment in the country.
During the roundtable, President Tshisekedi laid out the DRC’s economic priorities and reform agenda. The President highlighted his vision for leveraging public-private partnerships to attract U.S. investment in key sectors, including agriculture, digital transformation, critical minerals, infrastructure, and energy.
In September, Cybastion launched Africa DigiEmpower, a digital training program in partnership with the DRC’s Ministry of Youth, and is expected to begin training sessions this year.
President Tshisekedi noted during the roundtable that the DRC is exploring partnership opportunities with Cybastion to help advance its digital transformation agenda.
